The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall over parts of Coastal Karnataka, Jharkhand, Konkan and Goa, Maharashtra, Telangana, Odisha, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Sikkim today. The weather agency has forecast thundersqualls over Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, West Madhya Pradesh, and West Rajasthan.

 

The Met Department has also predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds over Delhi, Chandigarh, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, and parts of the North-Eastern region during the next two to three days. Similar conditions are likely to prevail over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Telangana, West Bengal, and Sikkim during the same period.

 

The IMD has also forecast heatwave conditions at isolated places over Bihar, East Madhya Pradesh, and East Uttar Pradesh today.
