The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange colour warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall conditions over Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa for the day.

Heavy rainfall is also expected over Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, parts of North East India and Andaman and Nicobar Islands till tomorrow. Talking to Akashvani News, Senior scientist at IMD, Akhil Srivastava said that the national capital will witness moderate to heavy rainfall till tomorrow. He also added that the city will experience light rainfall for this entire week.
