The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast cold wave to severe cold wave conditions in parts of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Jammu-Kashmir, and Ladakh till tomorrow. The met department also added that Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, Assam, Meghalaya, and Rajasthan may experience dense fog in the night and morning hours in the next 3 to 4 days.

The weather office further predicted light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms over Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Central Maharashtra, Marathwada and Gujarat in 2-3 days. It also predicted light to moderate rainfall over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal till tomorrow.

According to the IMD, minimum temperatures over the Northwestern region of the country can fall by 2 degrees Celsius during the next two days.
