In the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, England will face South Africa in the second semi-final at the Kennington Oval in London today. The match will begin at 11 PM IST. The winner of this match will face Australia in the final at the iconic Lord’s cricket ground in London on July 5.

 

England enter the match as favourites after an unbeaten group stage, winning all five games. Their batting has been strong throughout the tournament, especially the top order led by Danni Wyatt-Hodge. The return of Nat Sciver-Brunt further strengthens their squad, while Sophia Dunkley has also performed well in the middle order. England’s spin attack has also been effective.

 

On the other side, South Africa won four of their five group matches but have been less consistent overall. Their key players include Laura Wolvaardt, Tazmin Brits, Marizanne Kapp, and Nadine de Klerk. South Africa’s pace bowlers-Kapp, Shabnim Ismail, and Ayabonga Khaka-have been a major strength, taking the most wickets as a unit in the tournament. Their performance against England’s strong top order could decide the match.

 

Australia entered the final, defeating the West Indies by 8 wickets in the semifinal in London on Tuesday.
