Air Chief Marshal AP Singh highlighted the Indian Air Force’s growing capabilities and stressed that its true strength lies in its air warriors rather than merely in advanced equipment and technology.
Addressing the Indian Air Force (IAF) Day celebrations at Hindon Air Base in Ghaziabad, Air Chief Marshal Singh emphasised the role of air power in protecting national interests and described the Indian Air Force as the custodian of the skies. He also said that the IAF understands its role and responsibilities and is always alert, committed and ready to meet any contingency.
The Air Chief Marshal also recalled the IAF’s combat operations during Operation Sindoor. He said that the country saw firsthand the destructive power as well as the effective air defence operations of the Air Force during the operation. He added that ‘Infallible, Impervious and Precise’ was not merely a tagline but represented the strength and resolve of the force. Mr Singh also highlighted the strengthening culture of ownership and accountability across the force and expressed satisfaction over the upholding of the core values of the defence services.
The Indian Air Force also displayed its prowess as it held a massive parade at Hindon Air Base to celebrate the 94th Indian Air Force Day. Meanwhile, the IAF Chief inspected the parade at Hindon Air Base. The theme of this year’s celebration is ‘Indian Air Force – Infallible, Impervious and Precise’. Group Captain Manish Sharma commanded the parade. Chief of the Army Staff, General Dhiraj Seth, and Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral K. Swaminathan, were also present on the occasion.
The celebrations come as the Indian Air Force undergoes a major transformation to meet emerging security challenges.
As part of this year’s celebrations, the main aerial show will be held in Varanasi, where IAF pilots will showcase the nation’s formidable air power through breathtaking aerial manoeuvres over the holy city.
