House listing operations under Census 2027 to begin in Nagaland 

In Nagaland, the House Listing Operations and Housing Census under the first phase of the Census 2027 will begin from today across all 17 districts of the state and continue till July 30. 
 
Over 6,000 personnel, including enumerators and supervisors, have been appointed from various government departments to conduct the exercise.
 
In addition, 17 principal census officers, 17 district census officers, 157 charge officers, six master trainers and 130 field trainers have been designated for Census 2027 in Nagaland.
 
During the House Listing Operations phase, enumerators and supervisors will visit every household to collect data on housing conditions, basic amenities, and household assets.  Households will answer 33 questions, with responses being entered directly into a mobile application.
 
A total of 1,606 villages will be covered under Census 2027. 
The second phase, Population Enumeration, will begin in February 2027. It will collect demographic, socio-cultural, and economic data, along with information on migration and fertility.
