Union Home Minister Amit Shah today praised the Border Security Force (BSF) for its role during Operation Sindoor saying the force did not only guard the border firmly but also boosted the morale of the people living in frontier districts. He stressed creating a four-pronged grid comprising the BSF, the Army, administration, and vigilant citizens to make border security completely secure. Mr. Shah was addressing the Prahari Conference at the BSF’s Sanchu post near Bikaner in Rajasthan today. He said, with this four-pronged grid, threats emerging on the border can be countered with full strength.
Mr. Shah underlined the role of border villages and its residents in border security saying that all welfare schemes must be implemented effectively in these villages. Mr. Shah said that the country’s security framework has undergone major transformation under the Narendra Modi led government. He said, the armed forces and paramilitary forces have been modernised, while a tough stance has been maintained against terrorism.
Earlier, the Home Minister boosted the morale of personnel deployed along the border and appreciated their contribution to national security. On the occasion, he also virtually inaugurated 14 newly constructed women’s barracks at border outposts.
