HM Amit Shah says India’s linguistic diversity is the country’s biggest strength

Union Home Minister Amit Shah today said that the presence of multiple languages in India is the biggest strength of the country. Sharing a video message on Hindi Diwas today, he said that the Hindi language is not a competitive language of any other language but an important connecting thread of national unity. He said that language plays an important role in getting free of colonial mindset and stressed that replacing British laws by Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam was not only exchange of words but the reestablishment of self-pride.
 
The Home Minister stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Hindi and all the other languages are witnessing a golden period of technological development. Mr Shah highlighted that in the current time, AI tools are giving opportunities for easy translation of Indian languages.
 
Talking about the new education policy, Mr Shah said that the policy places mother tongue at the centre of education. He highlighted that in the current scenario, studies in the streams of engineering, medical and others are taking place in multiple languages. He said that India’s culture, yoga, ayurveda and others are reaching the world through the medium of language only.
 
The Home Minister urged the youth to learn about their mother tongue and also urged the parents to use it during conversation at their home. He also advised the citizens to not to feel ashamed while talking in their mother tongue. Mr Shah urged the citizens to resolve to make language an effective tool in the country’s journey of Viksit Bharat.
