HM Amit Shah reviews development works in Gujarat, directs time-bound completion

Union Home Minister Amit Shah reviewed various ongoing development works during his visit to Gujarat. He held a series of meetings in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar with senior officials and reviewed civic infrastructure projects and related works. At the South-West Zone office, Mr. Shah reviewed development activities and tree plantation work being undertaken in the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency. He also held discussions with officials on the modernization of the Sarkhej-Gandhinagar corridor and the interlinking of lakes in areas including Ghatlodia, Gota, Chandlodia and Thaltej, and directed that these works be expedited.
 
 
Mr. Shah also met 70 newly elected municipal councillors from the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha area. He advised them to maintain close coordination with administrative officials for timely redressal of public grievances and effective implementation of development works. He further interacted with corporators from Naranpura, Ghatlodia, Vejalpur and Sabarmati assembly segments.
 
 
Earlier in the day, he reviewed the functioning of the Akhandanand and Sastu Sahitya Mudrana-Lay Trust. He also instructed officials to expedite development works in Mansa municipality of Gandhinagar district and emphasised the need for repairs and upgradation of the old hospital, along with ensuring better healthcare facilities in public hospitals under the constituency.
 
 
Mr. Shah reiterated that all development works should be completed in a time-bound manner for improved civic amenities and public welfare.
