On the death anniversary of saint Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa, Home Minister Amit Shah bowed to him in reverence. In a social media post, Mr Shah said that the great thinker of modern India and the devoted devotee of Mother Kali, Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansa, brought the profound power and spiritual consciousness of the Indian Sanatan tradition to every individual.

The Minister noted that Sri Ramakrishna transformed religion not merely into faith, but also into a medium for service and human welfare. Mr Shah added that his lofty thoughts and ideals will forever continue to guide society.
