In Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, a Hindu rights organisation has announced a province-wide outreach campaign to press the provincial government for effective implementation of constitutional safeguards for minorities.
The All Balmik Hindu Community Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said minority communities continue to face challenges related to legal protection and equal opportunities. It urged the government to strengthen mechanisms for protecting minority rights.
The organisation also announced the formation of a provincial cabinet to focus on youth and women’s leadership, and to improve access to legal documents such as birth and marriage registration, national identity cards and inheritance rights.
