Himachal Pradesh gets Rs 239.45 crore approval under CRIF for two key road upgrade projects

 
Himachal Pradesh has received administrative approval of 239.45 crore rupees from the Union Ministry of Road Transport under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund, or CRIF, for 2026-27. The funding will be used to upgrade two key road projects in the state.
 
Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh said, 203.52 crore rupees have been approved for upgrading the Chaila-Neripul-Yashwant Nagar-Kumarhatti road, while 35.93 crore rupees will be spent on the remaining 16-kilometre stretch of the Tikkar-Jarol-Khamadi road. He said the projects will improve connectivity, benefit farmers and horticulturists, and strengthen the state’s economy.
