Himachal CM meets Asian Games gold-winning women kabaddi players

Himachal’s four women kabaddi players, including Pushpa Rana- captain of the Indian women’s kabaddi team that won the gold medal at Asian Games, today met Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. During the meeting, the players requested that the government increase the prize money from rupees 33 lakhs to Rs. one crore and sought employment at the rank of DSP. 
 
Following the meeting, Rana stated that their primary demand was to raise the prize money to Rs. 1 crore. She mentioned that the Chief Minister responded positively to their requests and assured them that they would be fulfilled. 
 
On this occasion, Pushpa Rana also urged the youth to stay away from drugs and embrace sports. She remarked that sports not only pave the way for a better future but also inspire young people to lead healthy and disciplined lives. 
 
It is noteworthy that Himachal’s daughters, Pushpa Rana, Ritu Negi, Jyoti Thakur, and Bhavna Thakur, played a pivotal role in India’s golden victory at the Asian Games. The players expressed that the state government’s support would motivate them to deliver even better performances in the future.
