Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to continue in Kutch and Saurashtra regions of Gujarat tomorrow: IMD

The India Meteorological Department said that the heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to continue in the Kutch and Saurashtra regions of Gujarat tomorrow.
 
The weather agency also issued a red alert for Panchmahal, Dahod, Kheda, Aravalli, Mahisagar, Banaskantha, and Sabarkantha districts, predicting isolated instances of extremely heavy rainfall till tomorrow morning. In the bulletin, the IMD said that isolated heavy rainfall is expected over sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, as well as Jharkhand on Wednesday and Friday.
 
The IMD has forecast light to moderate rainfall in many Indian States, with some regions expecting heavy to very heavy downpours, continuing until Thursday. IMD predicted similar weather patterns in several northeastern States and said that a fresh spell of rainfall is likely over East India from Wednesday.  It also predicted heavy rainfall activity likely over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura till Thursday.
 
As per the weather department, various districts of Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and South Madhya Maharashtra will also receive light to moderate rainfall in the next seven days. In south India, there is a prediction of light to moderate fairly widespread to widespread rainfall, with isolated heavy rainfall expected over interior Tamil Nadu and Kerala.
