The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya today. The Met department predicted heavy rainfall over Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Konkan, Goa, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Coastal Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala, Mahe and some parts of north-east India. IMD said that severe heat wave conditions are likely to prevail over East Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, isolated places in West Uttar Pradesh will experience heatwave conditions today.
