Heavy rainfall likely over Northeast India, West Bengal and Bihar: IMD

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall over Northeast India, West Bengal and Bihar during the next two to three days. It has also predicted isolated heavy rainfall over eastern Uttar Pradesh during the next four to five days.
 
According to the IMD, fairly widespread to widespread rainfall is likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura till the 18th of July.
 
Isolated to scattered rainfall is also likely over North Interior Karnataka, South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and Telangana till the 18th of July.
 
The weather office said subdued rainfall activity is likely over the plains of northwest India, west-central India and south Peninsular India during the next six to seven days.
 
Meanwhile, extremely heavy rainfall was recorded over Meghalaya, while very heavy rainfall was recorded over eastern Uttar Pradesh yesterday.
