Haryana registers 29% increase in GST collections during first five months this fiscal; highest in the country

 
 
Haryana has recorded a record 29 percent increase in State GST collections during the first five months of the current financial year (2026-27), the highest in the country. During this period, the state’s GST collection rose to ₹24,662 crore.
A government spokesperson said at Chandigarh today that the state received ₹4,982 crore in revenue from the State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) in August, marking a 21 percent increase compared to the same month last year. 
 
Additionally, the state’s VAT collection saw a rise of 13.8 percent during the first five months of the current financial year.
