Haryana grain markets receive 7.35 lakh metric tonnes of paddy

In Haryana, approximately 7.35 lakh metric tonnes of paddy had arrived at the state’s grain markets by October 5. A government spokesperson said that procurement agencies have purchased 2.57 lakh metric tonnes of paddy so far. Of the purchased paddy, 27,497 metric tonnes have already been lifted.
 
The spokesperson mentioned that the Government of India has set a target of procuring 58 lakh metric tonnes of paddy from Haryana this year. Additionally, a target has been set for the delivery of 32.50 lakh metric tonnes of Custom Milled Rice (CMR) with a 10% broken grain allowance to the Food Corporation of India.
