The Haryana Department of Technical Education has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar. A government spokesperson stated that the MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. The initiative aims to improve the quality and relevance of technical education in the state and enhance the employability of students.
This collaboration will create better opportunities for employment, entrepreneurship, and skill development for the state’s youth. Under the agreement, IIT Ropar will provide technical guidance for the modernisation of laboratories and the development of a Centre of Excellence. Additionally, it will assist in making necessary revisions to the technical education curriculum, promoting outcome-based education, and organising faculty development programmes, certificate courses, workshops, and educational exposure visits to enhance knowledge.
