In Haryana, the state-level Independence Day function was organised at Police Lines in Fatehabad where Chief Minister Manohar Lal hoisted the National Flag.

Addressing the people, he said like Gurugram and Panchkula, a Municipal Development Authority will be constituted in Hisar. The Chief Minister remembered the 14 martyrs of village Dhangar who sacrificed their lives for the nation. He also mentioned the achievements of the state and Central government in his address. He also announced a holiday in all the schools of the state on 16th August 2023.
