Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini hoisted the national flag at the Government College in Hansi in the state-level 80th Independence Day celebrations today. He inspected the contingents of the Independence Day Parade and took the ceremonial salute. Students and security personnel took part in patriotic events, including a rendition of “Vande Mataram”.
Tributes were paid to freedom fighters, who played a vital role in the Independence struggle. On this occasion, 11 Haryana Police officers and personnel were awarded medals.
In his 80th Independence Day address, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini focused heavily on the state’s vision for a Viksit Haryana. He reaffirmed the government’s official mission to transform. The Chief Minister concluded his address by calling upon citizens to reject narcotics, maintain clean neighborhoods, and actively participate in the state-wide de-addiction campaign.
Haryana Governor Prof. Ashim Kumar Ghosh hoisted the tricolour at a separate event in Yamunanagar while Punjab Governor and Union Territory Chandigarh Administrator Gulab Chand Kataria hoisted the national flag at Chandigarh.
