Union Minister for Culture Gajendra Singh Shekhawat today said that the Gyan Bharatam National Survey of Manuscripts has successfully mapped over 1 crore manuscripts from across the country. In a social media post, Mr Shekhawat said that the achievement marks a historic milestone for India’s timeless manuscript heritage. He added that the initiative began as a national mission, and has now become one of the largest public participation movements in cultural preservation, with citizens, scholars, institutions and communities coming together to safeguard the civilisational wisdom for future generations.
