Delhi police have refuted claims circulating on social media that a protester sustained gunshot injuries during the 20th July protest in Central Delhi are not corroborated by the Medico-Legal Certificate (MLC) findings. Delhi Police said that MLC records a lacerated wound in front of the right tragus, describing the nature of the injury as blunt. As per doctor’s opinion, it is a simple injury and there is no evidence of gunshot injury. The Police clarified that the claim of gunshot injury is not supported by the medical findings on the MLC. It advised the public to verify information through authentic sources before sharing such claims.
