Gujarat to hold state-level International Day of Yoga celebration in Mansa

The state-level celebration of the International Day of Yoga in Gujarat will be held in Mansa taluka of Gandhinagar district. Addressing a press conference in Gandhinagar, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi said that special service activities are being carried out across the country to mark the completion of 12 years of the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre.
 
As part of these celebrations, the state-level Yoga Day event will be held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. More than 4,000 people are expected to participate in the programme.
 
In addition, around 24,000 events will be organised across the state this year in schools, colleges, corporate offices, industries, parks and public spaces under the theme “Yoga for Healthy Ageing.” More than 1.25 crore citizens are expected to take part in yoga protocol training across Gujarat on Yoga Day.
 
Mass yoga sessions will also be conducted simultaneously in all 17 municipal corporations, as well as in the talukas, municipalities and villages of Gujarat’s 33 districts.
 
A week-long celebration of Yoga is being observed in Gujarat from June 14 to June 20. As part of the Yoga Week celebrations, 12 special programmes are being organised. Of these, 10 programmes have already been completed, while the remaining two will be held over the next two days.
