Gujarat celebrates International Yoga Day with mass Yoga sessions across the state

In Gujarat, the 12th International Day of Yoga was celebrated across Gujarat today. The state-level event was held at Mansa in Gandhinagar in the presence of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel. Celebrating “Yoga for Healthy Ageing.
 
Over 1.25 crore citizens participated in mass sessions held across 330 venues. The Chief Minister urged citizens to make yoga a daily habit, noting its role in preventive healthcare. He highlighted that Gujarat leads the nation with 1.5 lakh trained instructors and announced that Rajkot will become the country’s first “15-Minute Yoga City.” 
 
Union Home Minister Amit Shah participated in the Yoga Day celebrations at the Prahlad Nagar Garden in Ahmedabad. To mark the occasion with a unique initiative, the Ahmedabad Division of Western Railway organised special yoga sessions across various railway premises, as well as on board four prominent Vande Bharat Express trains.
