Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry will launch nationwide celebrations to commemorate ten years of successful implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan from tomorrow. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched the scheme on 9th June, 2016, to provide assured, comprehensive, and quality antenatal care services free of cost to all pregnant women.

As part of the celebrations, awareness and outreach activities will be organised across States and Union Territories to encourage pregnant women and their families to avail the nine assured free services available under the scheme. On the occasion, a special 75-rupee Commemorative Coin and a five-rupee Postal Stamp will be released by Union Health Minister J P Nadda.
