The government has refuted a video circulating on social media claiming that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman have endorsed an investment platform promising easy monetary returns. The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) has informed that the video is fake and AI-generated. The unit added that no such schemes had been endorsed by the government. PIB said that such fabricated endorsements and promises of extraordinary returns are spread by fraudsters to deceive the public. The government has further urged people to verify such information from official sources only.
