The Government has debunked claims circulating on social media that loans are being provided under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana on payment of a meagre amount. The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) informed that the letter is fake. The Unit added that Mudra does not provide direct loans to individuals or micro-entrepreneurs and it is a refinancing agency. PIB has urged the citizens to rely on official sources for authentic information.
