The Government has debunked a video of Prime Minister Narendra Modi circulating on social media wherein he is shown endorsing a government-authorised buyer for participation in an exhibition of old coins. The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau said that the video is fake and digitally manipulated. It said that the Prime Minister has not endorsed any such government-authorised buyer for the exhibition of old coins. It cautioned the citizens to not fall for manipulated content circulating online that aims to deceive them.
