Union Civil Aviation Minister K. Ram Mohan Naidu today said that Indian culture and traditions must be respected and preserved by everyone. Speaking to the media after reaching Tirumala on foot from Alipiri Padala Mandapam at Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, the Minister said, the government is committed to promoting and safeguarding the country’s cultural heritage.
Mr. Naidu appreciated the arrangements made by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams along the footpath route for the convenience of devotees. He said pilgrims have expressed satisfaction over the facilities provided and noted that the amenities in Tirumala reflect the good governance initiatives of the NDA government.
In view of the intense summer heat, Mr. Naidu also advised people to take necessary precautions.
