Govt collaborates with industry for overhaul of AI curriculum to meet emerging technological trends

The Government is collaborating with the industry for a comprehensive overhaul of the Artificial Intelligence curriculum to better equip learners for emerging technological trends. In this regard, Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw today held a high-level meeting with the AI Curriculum Taskforce in New Delhi. During the meeting, the discussions focused on strengthening industry-academia collaboration and aligning AI education with future technological requirements. 
 
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology said that the task force conducted a baseline study of the existing Bachelor of Technology Computer Science and allied curricula in Indian educational institutions. The exercise was undertaken in partnership with industry experts and the National Association of Software and Service Companies. The Ministry noted that the focus areas of the Taskforce include Application-Oriented Pedagogy, Credit-Linked Curriculum Integration, Responsible AI as a Continuous Thread and Enhanced Practical Exposure.
