Governor Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, and Leader of the Opposition Yuri Alemao today paid tribute to Goa’s freedom fighters on the occasion of Goa Revolution Day, recalling their sacrifices and contributions to the state’s liberation struggle.

 

Speaking at the state-level function, Governor Pusapati Ashok Gajapathi Raju said the sacrifices made by those who participated in the freedom movement should never be forgotten. 

 

Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said Goa’s development journey requires the support and participation of all its people. 

 

Goa Revolution Day is observed every year on June 18 to commemorate the historic uprising against Portuguese rule and to honour those who played a part in Goa’s liberation movement.
