The government has refuted a video circulating on social media claiming that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the government is providing free electric bicycles to children for going to school. The Fact Check Unit of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) has said that the video is Fake and AI- Generated. PIB has clarified that no such scheme or announcement has been made by the Government. The Unit has further advised citizens to rely only on official sources for information related to the Central Government’s public welfare schemes. It has also urged people not to be misled by such enticing claims and to refrain from forwarding unverified content.
