The Government has extended the due date for filing of appeals before the Goods and Services Tax Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT) till 31st of next month. According to the Ministry of Finance, earlier notification dated September last year had notified today (30.06.2026) as the last date for filing of appeals before GSTAT. It is noted that the due date has been extended in view of the recent representations from various stakeholders, highlighting technical difficulties due to the rush to file appeals on the GSTAT portal. The government has also advised taxpayers to plan their appeal filings well in advance and not wait until the deadline.
