Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that the government is committed to making artificial intelligence accessible to a broad spectrum of startups, academia, researchers and students.
Addressing the gathering after releasing the World Development Report 2026 in New Delhi, Mr Vaishnaw said that India is now among the countries that have adopted and used AI to derive real benefits.
The Minister said that real benefits come from the actual use of technology to enhance productivity, reduce costs, increase revenues and improve people’s lives. He said the new technology will also create significant opportunities for small and medium enterprises.
