In the Indian bullion market, 24 carat Gold was trading 1.2 per cent down at 1,44,610 rupees per 10 grams, while Silver was trading 2.1 per cent down at 2,22,790 rupees per kilogram, a short while ago.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, Gold for the August contract was trading 1.2 per cent down at 1,43,951 rupees per 10 grams, and Silver for the September contract was trading nearly two per cent down at 2,22,570 rupees per kilogram, when reports last came in.
