Goa has recorded strong fiscal growth, with the state receiving 398 crore rupees from the Central Government as its share of tax devolution, while posting healthy gains in GST collections during July 2026.

 

The state’s total GST collection reached 622 crore rupees in July 2026, up from 584 crore rupees in the corresponding month last year, registering a 7 percent year-on-year increase.

 

Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant said the 398 crore rupees received from the Centre would be utilised to accelerate key infrastructure and development projects across the state. The steady rise in tax collections is expected to further reinforce the state’s fiscal position, enabling sustained investment in infrastructure, public services and overall economic development.
