Union Minister of State for Railways and Minister of State for Jal Shakti V. Somanna today said that India has witnessed rapid development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and will continue to progress on all fronts in the coming years.
He was speaking after flagging off the Madgaon-Karwar Express at the Madgaon Railway Station in Goa.
The Minister said that about 99 per cent of railway routes across the country have been electrified. He added that the government is committed to providing modern, efficient and passenger-friendly railway services equipped with all necessary facilities for the public. He said, the expansion and modernization of the railway network remain a key priority of the Centre.
