Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has stressed that futuristic planning and vision are crucial for ensuring sustainable development in the country.
Addressing the 21st Global Sustainability Summit through video conferencing today, Mr Gadkari emphasised the need for cooperation, coordination and communication among all stakeholders working towards India’s sustainable development. He said challenges should be converted into opportunities through proper planning and a clear vision.
The Minister said economic development requires a futuristic vision for industry, trade, business, agriculture and tourism. He said development projects should be cost-effective, pollution-free, indigenous and aimed at reducing dependence on imports.
