In Keralam, former Director General of Police Tomin J Thachankari was found guilty in a disproportionate assets case during his official tenure. The investigation was completed and the charge sheet was submitted in 2013. The case alleged that he accumulated illegal assets worth 64.70 lakh rupees during his official tenure between 2003 and 2007. The Kottayam Vigilance Court will pronounce the sentence in the afternoon.
