In Jammu and Kashmir, NITI Aayog Member Dr. M.Srinivas today reviewed major development projects and key sectoral initiatives taken across the UT. During a meeting held in Srinagar, Dr. Srinivas said the focus in J&K has shifted from safety and security to growth and development. He stressed effective implementation, better outcomes and stronger institutional collaboration for sustainable development in the region.
He also reviewed progress in connectivity, power, drinking water, agriculture, industry, tourism, health, education and urban and rural development.
Later, Dr. Srinivas called on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and discussed various developmental priorities and cooperation with NITI Aayog with him.
