In Himachal Pradesh, five people, including a three-month-old infant, were killed after a car plunged nearly 400 metres into a deep gorge on the Chamba-Pathankot National Highway in the Lahad area of Dalhousie subdivision in Chamba district this morning. Police recovered the bodies from the gorge and have initiated an investigation into the cause of the accident. All the victims were residents of Chamba district and were returning home from Chandigarh.
