First Shravan Procession of Lord Mahakaleshwar To Be Held in Ujjain Tomorrow

In Madhya Pradesh, the first Shravan procession of Lord Mahakaleshwar will be taken out in Ujjain tomorrow, marking the first Monday of the holy Sawan month. Lord Mahakal, in the Chandramouleshwar form, will be taken out in a traditional palanquin procession, offering devotees an opportunity for darshan.

A special puja will be performed at the Mahakaleshwar Temple before the procession begins at 4 PM. The procession will pass through Gudri Chowk, Bakshi Bazaar and Kaharwadi before reaching Ram Ghat, where Lord Mahakal will be offered abhishek and aarti with the holy waters of the Shipra River. It will return to the temple in the evening.

The temple administration has made elaborate arrangements for devotees. Tribal cultural groups will perform along the route, while five LED chariots will also be part of the procession. Medical teams and round-the-clock ambulance services have been deployed to ensure the safety and convenience of devotees.
