First road bridge opened between Russia and North Korea

 
Russia and North Korea have opened the first road bridge across their shared border today. Russian officials hailed the development to boost nations’ deepening ties with North Korea. The Russian government said in a statement, the bridge over the Tumen River is a kilometre long and has two lanes. Relations and exchange programmes between Russia and North Korea have been flourishing in recent years, with North Korea supplying ammunition and troops to support Russia’s war against Ukraine.
