The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) facilitated the first-ever export of 1 Metric Tonne of Mustard Honey by Dergang Farmer Producer Organisation (FPO) from Tripura to Dubai. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry said the export marks a significant milestone for the FPO and local beekeepers by creating an opportunity to access international markets through organised and export-oriented production.
The shipment is the first-ever export of Mustard Honey from the area and is expected to open new avenues for diversification of Tripura’s honey value chain. The initiative is expected to encourage farmers and FPOs to explore export opportunities and strengthen their participation in international agricultural markets. The collaboration has enabled the FPO to access international markets and participate in the export value chain.
