The final notification for polling stations for the upcoming municipal and urban local body elections in Tripura will be published on September 25, State Election Commission Secretary Anurag Sen informed the media today.
He said the process of identifying polling stations and publishing the draft notification for elections to 21 urban local bodies in the state has been completed. District Municipal Election Officers, or District Magistrates, have published draft notifications for a total of 784 polling stations across the 21 urban local bodies, including the Agartala Municipal Corporation, various municipal councils and Nagar Panchayats.
Mr Sen said the last date for filing claims and objections against the draft notification is September 21. All claims and objections will be disposed of by September 23.
