Equity mutual funds inflow down by 15%, marginal increase in SIP in July

 
Inflows into the Indian Inflows into the Indian equity mutual funds fell by 14.8 per cent to 24,697 crore rupees in July, fell by 14.8 per cent to 24,697 crore rupees in July, compared with 28,973 crore rupees in June. According to data released by the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI), Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) contributions stood at 31,961 crore rupees in July, marking a marginal increase from June.
 
Among the equity fund categories, Small-cap funds attracted the highest inflows in July, garnering more than 7,700 crore rupees. They were followed by Mid-cap funds, flexi-cap funds, and Multi-cap funds. However, large-cap and Equity Linked Savings Scheme (ELSS) funds witnessed net outflows during the period. The Gold Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) inflow dipped to 1,559 crore rupees last month on a sequential basis. Meanwhile, the trend reversed in Debt funds which witnessed net inflows of 1 lakh 87 thousand 511 crore rupees last month as compared with the outflows recorded in previous months. Within debt-oriented schemes, liquid funds attracted the highest net inflow of over 1 lakh 19 thousand crore rupees.
