Union Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav today said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is committed to making its BRICS Presidency people-centric and guided by the spirit of ‘Humanity First’.

In a social media post, sharing his article written in an English daily, Mr Yadav said India has focused on promoting sustainable lifestyles based on the principles of Mission LiFE, along with afforestation, forest fire management, disaster resilience and people-centric climate adaptation rooted in traditional knowledge.

He said India’s BRICS chairship is working towards a future that places the planet at the centre of collective growth, resilient development, innovation and sharing of knowledge.
