Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annpurna Devi said that today the women of the country is playing a significant role in shaping the country’s development journey. Addressing the National Conference of Protection Officers in New Delhi, Ms Devi said, the resolve for a developed India will be realized only when the country’s mothers, sisters, and daughters are empowered and safe. She stated that instilling a sense of security and dignity of the women is the first priority of the government, saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi firmly believes that India’s strength lies in its women power. The Minister highlighted that the government’s shared goal is to ensure that every home is safe, and every victim receives speedy justice.
