Education Minister Pralhad Joshi Leads Shramdaan and Cleanliness Drive at Gargi College

Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi today said that students are the key pillars in translating the Vision of Viksit Bharat into action and building a clean, green and healthy India through responsible citizenship and active participation. The Minister said this while interacting with students while leading the Shramdaan and Cleanliness Drive at Gargi College, Delhi University, under the nationwide ‘Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath’ initiative.
 
 
On the occasion, Mr Joshi urged the students to contribute at least 30 minutes to cleanliness-oriented activities, reiterating that individual efforts could inspire collective action and transform Swachhata into a people’s movement. He also encouraged them to maintain cleanliness not only in educational institutions but also in their homes and public spaces.
 
 
Mr Joshi further highlighted the importance of physical fitness and outdoor activities and encouraged students to participate in sports and spend time on playgrounds while maintaining a healthy balance with screen-based activities. 
 
 
Vice Chancellor, University of Delhi, Professor Yogesh Singh, faculty members of the College and senior officials of the Ministry were also present on the occasion.
